It produced and commercialized ethnic dishes which used to be prepared only at home, using a very modern and quick preparation system. El Tamal has always been very careful for seasoning and taste of the traditional guatemalan food. These products were sold and distributed through its own restaurant and using a large panel fleet, each panel with a loudspeaker that used to go around city announcing its presence and delighting customers with the tamales, chuchitos, paches and other ethnic guatemalan foods.The accelerated positioning achieved by El Tamal in the ethnic food business, urged the opening of more restaurants in Guatemala City, in order to satisfy the consumers wishes. This is how "El Tamal" restaurants began. That small ethnic food factory, step became a great food industry.
